How has March been treating you?
What did you do with your time today?
If you're reading this, I'm honoured that you're spending some of your time with me. Especially, if you're also in the same EST time zone and you may have found yourself missing an hour in your day, with the change of the clock moving forward.
We do our best to control time, but it's elusive, mysterious, mischievous....
Time takes us on a journey and teaches us to see ourselves through what we do when we think we "have" it. What we do when we feel we've "lost" it, or when we feel like it's slipping through our fingers like sand in an hourglass.
This is the Medicine of Time.
It may hurt before it heals. Though even before the hurt, there may have been happiness (or else how would we know we were hurt?).
With the finicky loop of time, it's up to us to find the treasures, the wisdom, the healing salve and the medicine of all of its offerings.
Time...precious, fleeting and eternal; what will you do with it?
I'm excited to share how you can make the most of it at my 3 Keys To Reclaiming Your Time, Energy, Power & Joy Webclass. I invite you to join me (Click HERE ).
In the meantime ;), I'm wishing you a wonderful continuation of March. May your days be filled with more things that light you up rather than shut you down. Either way, may you find what you need you through the Medicine of Time.
In love and light,
Doesn't that have a nice ring to it?
Success is often easier to enjoy and accept, but there's something important we often overlook with "failures"...
Whether you meet success or failure, you first have to "do" something!
If you failed, you didn't just "try". It means you actually took action on something you want(ed) (e.g. safety, security, health, a promotion, a new home, a relationship...any of those Intentions you set in January). So, Congratulations!! Whatever it is you want, you've gone after a desire or dream that actually means something to you.
To "fail" also means you've put yourself on a path to success!
So don't give up before the glory, my friend!!! Don't let "failure" trump your success! Keep on doing things that will get you closer to where you want to be.
Do and do again!
Move past past experiences. Adjust your goals when you need to. Respect where you are on your path and use discernment and strategies that will bring you more of your desired results. Connect with people who can help and support you. Surround yourself in high vibration, uplifting environments.
AND... By all means, allow yourself to fail! Celebrate the success of taking action knowing it moves you closer to your goal, especially if you gave it your 100%.
Keep giving yourself the love and kindness you deserve on your way to more and more success. If you have a tendency to beat up on yourself, give up on your goals, or give into limitations, know that activating love (for yourself, for your family, for the clients/customers/ industry you serve, for the product or services you create, etc.) will always put you back on your best path to success.
What you focus on will ABSOLUTELY come to you, so be intentional in claiming what you want, not what you don't. Maybe it won't arrive when you planned for it. And maybe not in the way you thought it would. But that success wants to be realized or else you wouldn't have felt the inspiration for creating it!
So keep on doing!! Let your "failures" light you up as much as your successes. Let them show you what you can do differently. How you can grow and where you need to support yourself and give yourself love.
Go ahead and claim your BEST FAILURE! The one that really taught you something new. Maybe it's the one that you might still be learning from or have yet to leverage. But once you release or clear up any pain you associate with the failure, you'll start to see more and more of the world open up for you! February being the month of LOVE, this is a great time to do that and you surround yourself in love.
Be open to shifting the thought of that failure into the reality of SUCCESS. Stay well, stay on track and be good to you.
In love and light,
How dare you
Become your own version of yourself?
Unconformed and expansive
True to you
Respectful of all
But not deferential
How dare you
Step into your own shoes?
Treading a path uncharted
Shining your light
All along the way
Like a beacon and flame
Calling me to shine too
How dare you
Speak to me that way?
Curious with a foundation of love
As if truth was a birthright
(yours and mine)
Not a privilege
How dare you be?
How dare you?
How dare I?
Authentic Living is about living truth. Your truth. The truth that lights you up inside when you live it. It gives you energy and strength that sometimes surprises you. You feel so delighted by it that you can't help but smile. Only you can know what it is for you.
It's also a truth you feel within you so acutely, that when you ignore it, you also feel yourself cringe. It may be a tightening in your throat, your belly, or your chest. You may get a sudden headache, grit your teeth or clench your jaw. Whatever it is, however slight, you know it when you feel it. It's the internal indication that lets you know you've strayed from your authenticity. You know the truth is there.
And that's good news!!! Because if you can feel any of those of things, you know that Authentic Living is within your reach. You know your truth is available to you.
The real trouble comes when you've strayed so far from your truth that you're no longer willing or able to feel. When your justifications, rationalizations, or self-medications come so fast, that those guideposts of truth are numbed or imperceptible between your body and your mind. Sometimes all you want to do is hide.
Yet all is not lost. That just means you have more work to do to get back on track. Maybe what you need for a time is a break. Authentic Living is still an option.
Life is just a series of experiences and choices. All of which lead you to precisely where you need to be. Choose your own adventure.
The choice of Authentic Living just offers genuine fulfillment and life-affirming love along the way. You also get to enjoy the freedom and ease of being your authentic self. Those are your rewards for doing the work of moving through pain and fear as you progress through life. If you want it, soul-satisfying joy also is there for you.
This is your invitation to Authentic Living - Body, Mind, and Spirit. No B.S. here. Just truth.
Keep it positive as you keep it real.
Let the Authentic Living journey continue!
In love and light,
I was recently writing an email to a friend and reflecting on what the world needs now. With so much unprecedented activity happening and so many shifts on a personal and global level, what is the world calling for?
While new people are coming awake to violence and pain that exists in the world, there are also many reaffirming a status quo that meets their need to preserve a sense of safety and security. Sometimes these two dynamics are happening within the same one person. That is the truth of humanity. We care complex beings with a mix of emotions and experiences.
From a worldly perspective, there is no telling what is to come for sure and where the future will lead us. I do know the future is calling.
Is the future one where we will be hugging each other in person and not just virtually? Is it one where hugs will replace handcuffs, and healing will resolve fear?
I can't that answer for everyone, but I do have an answer about the future for me. I hear the same call I always hear. I hear the world asking for all it ever wants. You know what I'm going to say.... Love. That's what I consistently hear the world asking for. More love. Yours and mine.
Who doesn't need more love?
We don't give it when we think others don't deserve it. Even when it's all someone truly wants and needs in order to heal and start giving more love too.
Loving is a simple idea, yet sometimes so hard to live. Especially if we've grown up where love means neglect, or pain, or punishment by its withdrawal. When we don't have any idea of what healthy love looks or feels like.
Example: I am a proponent of "pro-", rather than "anti-" anything. My purpose is in creating the world I want to see, rather than fighting against what exists. I see transformation as the unavoidable outcome of love in action. No need to fight. I have seen that truth play out countless times (in real life, not just in movies!) And that's where I put most of my energy: in cultivating love in myself and supporting others to do the same.
Love is no joke hard work (ask married people!), and it's also the simplest most effortless beautiful thing (ask married people!). Either way, the world wouldn't exist without it. So I invite you to keep reaching for it, exploring it, and showing it to the world.
In everything you do, be love as much as possible.
In love and light,
Debra believes you (and the world) are better, when you are at ease, focused, and living your dreams. She has spent over 15 uplifting others and inspiring people to cultivate a powerful mindset, get clear on goals, and enjoy their most authentic life.
